This site has the functionality to represent all countries in our American continent whom are members of the ITF community in South Korea they (ITF)participate actively in the development of strategic approaches and adds their expertise to the development of Taekwon-Do with proportionate support to the head quarters in S Korea that provides us with orientation and focuses on how to assist our members to prosper.

FOUNDATION OF TAEKWON –DO ITF
Taekwon-do ITF also called traditional Taekwon-do was created on April 21st 1955, its founder, Grand Master Choi Hong Hi, born in Korea, developed this martial art thinking of defending his Country, Korea, which was besieged by the Japanese military forces for decades.
Taekwon-do, led by Grand Master Choi, was developed based on a variety of different martial arts such as Subak, Shotokan Karate and Taekkyon. He also established with others Martial Art Masters and scientists the called “Theory of power”, this theory is the basics of Taekwon-do techniques.
In due time Taekwon-do, being a really young martial art, started to evolve, opening itself to every person, man or woman, from every nation, building up universal moral codes and losing its local origin status and national boundaries from its beginnings. “Taekwon-do belongs to the world” said, Our Founding Grand Master.
